Who We Are
In 2013, Todd Roberts and Souris Hong founded the visual artist division at the Windish Agency, one of the most successful independent booking agencies in the music industry. Just prior to Paradigm’s announced partnership with Windish in 2015, Todd and Souris amicably departed ways to launch Creative Cabal.
Todd Roberts, Co-Founder & CEO
Todd is a creative strategist, producer and trendsetter from Los Angeles. His career started as editor of seminal lifestyle magazine, Urb, and as a journalist he helped establish the careers of early creators in hip-hop, street art, and electronic music. He went on to become VP of A&R for Virgin Records where he was named head of Astralwerks Records in New York, working on the early careers of acts like Phoenix, Basement Jaxx, Air, and Fatboy Slim. The label sold millions of units under his tutelage, the first for an American electronic label.
In 2002, he left the record label system to create Truant Media where he acted as curator, strategist and creative director for music, art and brand projects. Early clients included Black Sabbath, Scion AV, and Verve Records, for which he produced the popular Verve Remixed series, nominated for a Grammy Award in 2005. During this time, Todd also developed a number of publishing entities including an art magazine, PUTA, which featured early work from Sage Vaughn, Marcel Dzama, Rostarr, and Darren Waterston, as well as music news site, The Daily Swarm.
Todd continues to play a role as an artist manager, executing all creative strategy, business development, licensing and tour production for his clients. He lives in Glendale with his wife, Michelle, their two daughters Ella and Olivia, and dog Hazel. He can be found on his yoga mat, snow/surfboard, or searching for the best taco truck.
